Paint the Town Red Dianthus is a perennial plant. It is shorter in height, reaching to 8 inches tall. This plant is dense in form, with a good deal of ornamental features. Paint the Town Red Dianthus would be a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The individual leaves on the plant are quite small, but form as a dense mound of foliage. They are deep green to blue green in color. The flowers will bloom in abundance, typically late spring to early summer. They are a bright magenta-red in color. After the flowers are finished, shear back a bit for potential fall rebloom. Great for attracting butterflies!
