General Information
Yuki Cherry Blossom Deutzia is a great plant that will fit well into many different landscape areas. This is a compact, low growing hybrid plant. It grows in a spreading, mounding growth habit. It has branches that arch towards the ground, rooting in where they touch. It is densely branched, giving it a nice full look with all the foliage. The leaves are about 3 inches long, oval in shape with serrated edges, coming to a point at the end. The leaves are dark green in the growing season, and unlike most deutzias, they have great purple-bronze fall color. The flowers grow in small clusters along the branches. They are small, with 5 petals with a resemblance to cherry blossoms. They have a light pink overall color with white along the margins.
Additional Information
Deutzia 'NCDX2' grows to 12 to 24 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 8. It can grow in full to partial sun. Yuki grows best in rich, well drained soils with moderate amounts of moisture. It is adaptable to wide range of conditions. It doesn't seem to have any disease or insect issues. The flowers can take damage from late spring frosts.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
