Crimson Pygmy Barberry

General Information

The Crimson Pygmy Barberry is a dwarf mounding form of the Japanese red barberry. Its compact, rounded form makes it a good choice for smaller areas. Beware of the prickly thorns that will keep predators away. The intense red-bronze colors make it worth a few pricks! The deep red leaves hold their color well throughout the season. The Crimson Pygmy makes a wonderful low hedge. Contrast with yellow or light green plants for a stunning landscape. Crimson Pygmy Barberry is a great plant to add rich color to your landscape.
