General Information
Low Scape Mound Aronia is an ornamental deciduous shrub. It is quite small, growing to 2 feet tall and wide. This mix of size and ornamental appeal make it perfect for a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage is glossy, and dark green through the spring and summer. In the fall, it is a very ornamental bright red. In the springtime, there are abundant clusters of bright white flowers. Following the flowers, berries form. They mature to dark purple to black in fall.

Aronia melanocarpa 'UCONNAM165' grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Low Scape Mound Aronia can grow in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. Once established, it is said to do well in a variety of conditions.
