General Information

Holly China Twins is a great shrub that can work well in many different areas of your landscape.  In most situations, a holly plant is either a male or female plant. With one able to produce berries and the other pollinating to help produce the berries.  In this case, the male and female plants are grown together, providing everything needed to produce the ornamental berries of the holly.  Clusters of tiny white flowers are followed by berries. These berries ripen to a deep red in the fall, providing a great deal of ornamental value in the fall, into the winter time.  Glossy, deep green foliage provides great ornamental value all through the seasons.     

Additional Information

Ilex x meserveae ‘Mesdob’ & ‘Mesog’ grows to a height of up to 10 feet, with a spread of 8 feet.  It is recommend for planting zones 5 to 9.  It can grow in full to partial sunlight.  Holly China Twins grows best in well drained soils with moderate amounts of moisture.
