Calgary Carpet Juniper
General Information
Calgary Carpet Juniper is an evergreen shrub. It is a lower growing shrub, reaching 9 inches tall. It will perform as a dense, spreading groundcover shrub. Calgary Carpet Juniper will grow well on slopes, rocky spots and other difficult areas. It also would fit well along pathways or a variety of other locations. It has a nice horizontal branching structure, with softer scale-like evergreen foliage. It will have a very attractive medium green color throughout the year, possibly taking on a brownish tint in the coolest weather.
Additional Information
Juniperus sabina ‘Monna’ will be 6 to 9 inches tall, with a spread of 7 to 10 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 7. Calgary Carpet Juniper tends to do best when growing in full sunlight conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
