Description

Bobo Hydrangea

General Information

Bobo Hydrangea is a delightful ornamental shrub.  It is great in shrub borders, landscape beds and a variety of other areas.  This shrub grows in an overall mounded, slightly spreading fashion.  The leaves are a nice green color, giving the shrub a good appearance all growing season.  The flower clusters are held upright well on good strong stems.  These clusters are quite large, at upwards of 8 to 10 inches long.  They emerge in a pure white color, taking on pink tones, before maturing to red.  Bobo typically blooms from early summer into the fall.  Great for cut or dried flower arrangements!

Additional Information

Hydrangea paniculata ‘ILVOBO’ grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet, with a spread of 3 to 4 feet.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8.  It can grow in full to partial sunlight.  Bobo does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.  It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
