General Information
Blue Princess Holly is an evergreen shrub. It is larger in size at up to 15 feet tall. It is a great shrub for a variety of landscaping areas. The evergreen foliage of the Blue Princess is quite attractive. It is smaller in size, but grows densely to give the plant a nice, full appearance year round. The leaves are very glossy and bluish-dark green in color. Many types of holly plants are either male or female. This happens to be a female plant. Small flowers in the springtime turn to very ornamental clusters of bright red berries in the fall. This plant would need to be pollinated by a male holly, such as Blue Prince.

Ilex x meserveae 'Blue Princess' grows to a height of 10 to 15 feet, with a spread of 8 to 10 feet. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Blue Princess grows best in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
