General Information
Blue Prince Holly is an evergreen shrub. It is larger in size at 12 feet tall and wide. It is a great shrub for a variety of landscaping areas. The evergreen foliage of the Blue Prince is quite attractive. It is smaller in size, but grows densely to give the plant a nice, full appearance year round. The leaves are very glossy and bluish-dark green in color. Many types of holly plants are either male or female. This happens to be a male plant. It has inconspicuous flowers in the spring time that pollinate many of female holly plants. This plant however will not produce any berries.
Additional Information
Ilex x meserveae ‘Blue Prince’ grows to a height of 8 to 12 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 7. Blue Prince grows best in full to partial sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
