General Information

Armstrong Juniper is an evergreen shrub.  It is moderate in size, growing to 4 feet tall and wide.  It has spreading and largely horizontal branching.  The dense growth habit makes it perfect as a ground cover shrub, or in a variety of other landscaping uses.  The Armstrong Juniper has ‘scale’ foliage that is soft to the touch.  The foliage is medium green in color and keeps a nice appearance year round.  It can develop waxy, blue berries. 

Additional Information

Juniperus × pfitzeriana ‘Armstrongii’ grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a similar spread.  It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9.  Armstrong Juniper tends to grow best in full sunlight.  It does well with average amounts of moisture, in well drained soils.  It is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions.
