Rockin' Playin' The Blues Salvia is an annual plant. This is a larger plant, at up to 4 feet tall, but will keep an upright growth habit. It will lightly glossy dark green foliage. This will provide the plant with a nice appearance all through the growing seasons. The flowers will be purplish-blue in color, growing on spikes. The calyxes will retain a similar color adding to the attractive qualities. The Rockin' Playin' The Blues Salvia will bloom from planting until hard frost in the fall. Perfect choice for containers or in landscapes. Attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.

Salvia longispicata x farinacea 'Balsalmispim' will be 24 to 48 inches tall, with a width of 24 to 36 inches. It is an annual in many areas, but can be perennial in USDA zones 7 to 10. Rockin' Playin' The Blues Salvia can do well in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
