General Information
Fireworks Fountain Grass is for most of the country an annual plant, but can be perennial in zones 9 to 11. It will have a generally upright form, with narrow, arching foliage. The leaves are variegated, with green down the center and pink to white edges. This grass will keep its attractive leaf color through the growing seasons. Fireworks Fountain Grass will have bottlebrush seed heads tinted pink in the summer. These ornamental qualities will make this grass the perfect choice for containers or landscape beds.
Additional Information
Pennisetum setaceum 'Rubrum' will be 24 to 30 inches tall, with a width of 18 to 24 inches. It will tend to perform best in full sunlight growing conditions. Fireworks Fountain Grass will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
