This 'fancy leaf' caladium will typically grow best if planted outdoors once temperatures remain warmer in your area. The Hot Flash Caladium is very ornamental, with full, dense growth and overall mix of leaf colors. The foliage is broad and heart shaped in overall appearance. The leaves will be a great mix of colors. They have lightly glossy red leaves, with deeper red veining and bronzy-green edges. The Hot Flash Caladium is a wonderful highlight or centerpiece for your landscape or containers.

Caladium hortulanum 'Hot Flash' will be 15 to 20 inches tall, with a width of 8 to 10 inches. This caladium will do well in sun or shade conditions. They may be well served to have some shade in the warmest of climates. It will grow well as a houseplant in a sunroom or sunny windowsill. Hot Flash Caladium will do well with average amounts of moisture, typically in well draining soils.
