General Information
Blunt Mountain Mint is a native perennial plant. It can grow to be a larger plant, at 3 feet tall and wide. This plant is native to the eastern half the United States. It has a densely growing form, with flower clusters generally held above the foliage. The leaves are largely ovate in shape, with a dark green color. The leaves near the flowers may have silvery overtones. If crushed, the leaves have a strong mint aroma. The flower clusters bloom in abundance from mid-summer to early fall. The small flowers are light pink in color.

Pycnanthemum muticum is 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 8. Blunt Mountain Mint will do well in full to part sun conditions. It will do well with average to moderate amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have a serious disease or insect issues.
