Scarlet Flame Creeping Phlox is a perennial plant. This is a low growing plant, perfect for a variety of landscaping spaces. The small, dark green leaves will grow densely. It will provide a nice appearance through the growing seasons. Evergreen to semi-evergreen in some climates. The small, abundant flowers are reddish-pink in color, with a deeper red center eye. Scarlet Flame Creeping Phlox blooms in great abundance in the springtime. Great choice for attracting butterflies!

Phlox subulata 'Scarlet Flame' will be 4 to 6 inches tall, with a width of 12 to 18 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 2 to 9. Scarlet Flame Creeping Phlox can grow in full to partial sunlight conditions. It will do well with average or lesser water levels in well drained to average soils.
