General Information
Phenomenal Lavender is a beautiful plant that would look great in many different landscape areas. This lavender cultivar has shown many improved qualities compared to other lavenders. Good cold resistance as compared to other lavenders being one of the chief improvements. The plant tends to grow in a uniform, mounded fashion. Tiny, short needle-like foliage grows on the lower stems in colors of green with gray undertones. The leaves can be quite fragrant. The upper stems hold tiny lavender flowers that grow in profusion. This is a perfect flower for cut arrangements.

Lavandula x intermedia 'Phenomenal' grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for climate zones 4 to 9. It likes to grow in full sun. It needs average amounts of moisture along with well drained soils. Phenomenal lavender flowers from late spring into the summer. It is a favorite of butterflies and hummingbirds.
