Hudson Bay Hosta is a delightful plant for your landscape. It is great in borders, beds or any shaded area that needs a burst of season long color. This plant forms as an upright mound of foliage. The leaves are large, oval slightly cupped. They are thick and ridged. They are blue-green in color, with a creamy-white center. The flower stems grow to 26 inches tall. The flowers are white, blooming mid-summer. Hummingbirds are attracted to these flowers.

Hosta 'Hudson Bay' grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. It does best in full to partial shade. Hudson Bay does well in average to moderate moisture conditions, in well drained soils. It is not known to have any serious pest issues, but can be affected by slugs and snails.
