Royal Standard Hosta is a perennial plant. This plant will form as a large mound of foliage. It can reach upwards of five feet wide, so some care may need to be taken in siting this hosta. The leaves will have a glossy appearance and are a nice deep green in color. Royal Standard Hosta will have lightly fragrant white flowers carried on stems above the foliage. They will be in bloom by late mid to late summer. This will be a great choice for shaded areas of your landscape. It will be great for attracting hummingbirds!

Hosta 'Royal Standard' will be 24 to 28 inches tall, with a width of up to 4 to 5 feet. Flower stems can reach 35 to 40 inches in height. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Royal Standard Hosta will grow well in part to full sunlight conditions. It grows well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
