General Information
June Hosta is a medium sized plant that is perfect for many landscape areas. This plant has beautiful heart shaped leaves that tend to be more pointed at the end than an average hosta leaf. The June Hostas leaves have a beautiful variegated color pattern with a pale green center and dark green on the outside. If given a bit of morning sun exposure, the centers will turn a golden color. Light to dark lavender flowers appear on stems above the plant in mid to late summer.
Additional Information
Hosta 'June' grows 13 to 15 inches in height and 18 to 20 inches wide. It is recommended for climate zones 3 to 9. Prefers moist soil the first year and average, consistent water in fertile well drained soil in subsequent years. This hosta grows best in full to partial shade. In warmer or sunny conditions, the soil should be kept moist to prevent stress on the plant. This plant dies back over winter, but will come back every spring. The heavy, thicker leaves of this plant create some level of slug resistance. This hosta is largely disease free and a low maintenance plant.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
