Velvet Moon Hosta is a perennial plant. It is a hosta of moderate size. It will have a nice rounded, slightly spreading overall growth habit. The Velvet Moon Hosta will add a nice pop of color to shady areas in your landscape. The leaves will be rounded and wavy in overall appearance. They will emerge green in color with creamy-yellow edges. Flowers will appear on stems above the foliage in the midsummer. They will be lavender in color.

Hosta ‘Velvet Moon' will be 16 to 18 inches tall, 24 to 36 inches in width. Flower stems will extend above the foliage. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Velvet Moon Hosta will grow well in full to partial shade conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
