Sugar Tip Hibiscus is a great plant that would be perfect for different areas of your landscape. It forms as a rounded shrub, with interesting foliage and beautiful flowers. The leaves are quite interesting, providing all growing season long interest. They have a blue-green color, edged in a creamy-yellow. The flowers are large in size, double, with ruffled petals. They are light pink in color and are abundant all over the shrub. They bloom beginning early summer, continuing throughout the summer. These flowers are attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. This shrub would look great planted in the landscape or even in a large container.

Hibiscus syriacus 'America Irene Scott' grows to a height of 5 to 6 feet, with a similar spread. It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9. It grows best in full sunlight. Sugar Tip does best in well drained soils, with average amounts of moisture. It can do well under a variety of conditions.
