General Information
Burning Hearts False Sunflower is a very nice perennial plant. It is an open, airy plant, reaching upwards of 4 feet tall at full maturity. Great in rock gardens, flower beds or many other landscaping areas. The foliage is one of the points of interest for this plant. It emerges deep purple in color, before transitioning to deep green for the rest of the season. Very ornamental sunflower-like blooms. The narrow petals are bright yellow in color, with a bright red center eye. These flowers are very attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinators!

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Burning Hearts' grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a spread of 12 to 18 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Burning Hearts tends to grow best in full sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues.
