Green Sheen Pachysandra is a great plant that could work well in different areas of your landscape. This is a spreading groundcover plant that grows up to a foot tall. It spreads by rhizomes, allowing this plant to potentially spread a good distance over a span of a few years. It tends to grow best in full to partial sunlight, making this the perfect plant to grow under a large tree, a shaded corner of your house or any area that gets a small amount of sun. The foliage grows thickly on stems, forming a carpet-like groundcover. The leaves are oval shaped and up to 4 inches in length. The leaves are dark green in color with a very glossy appearance, giving this plant a very special look. In the early spring, small white flowers appear, providing an added boost of attractiveness to the plant.

Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Sheen' grows to a height of 8 to 12 inches, with a spread of 12 to 18 inches, and potentially much more over time. It is recommended for climate zones 5 to 9. It grows best in full to partial shade. Green Sheen grows best in rich, well drained soils with average to moderate amounts of moisture. It is not known to have any serious disease or insect issues. It can help on occasion to lightly thin the plants.
