General Information
Elmleaf Goldenrod is a perennial plant. This plant has a native range of the eastern United States. It will have a tall, open form, with nice ornamental appeal. Elmleaf Goldenrod will be a nice choice for woodland gardens and other native garden areas. The leaves are deep green in color, resembling elm leaves. The flowers bloom in long clusters, a very attractive yellow in color. They will bloom in abundance, generally from July into September. The Elmleaf Goldenrod will be attractive to butterflies and other pollinators.
Additional Information
Solidago ulmifolia will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a similar width. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. Elmleaf Goldenrod will tend to do best in part sun growing conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well draining soils.
