General Information

This compact plant is one of the most popular daylilies.  Happy Returns Daylily blooms with an abundance of bright, lemon yellow flowers from late Spring to frost. Its gorgeous blooms are brighter than that of hemerocallis 'Stella de Oro', especially when grown in hot climates. This is a hybrid of  'Stella de Oro'.  The foliage is clump forming, with long, narrow green leaves.   The foliage provides great color and texture even after the lily is done blooming.  The mildly fragrant blooms attract butterflies.  This hardy perennial is a great choice for borders, edging, mass plantings or containers.

Additional Information

Hemerocallis 'Happy Returns' grows best in Full Sun to Part Shade.  It will grow 12-18" tall with a similar spread.  Plant in zones 4 to 11. Rabbit resistant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.  Drought and heat tolerant once established. Deer resistant. Works great as a ground cover, and to help control erosion.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
