General Information
Hot Coral Sombrero Coneflower is a great plant for your landscape. It is great in borders, flower beds, or any kind of garden area. The plant grows as a lower mound of foliage, with flowers extending on stems above. The foliage and stems have a nice green color that lasts all through the growing season. The flowers have daisy-like oval shaped individual petals. The petals are deep pink in color, trimmed with orange at the end. The petals surround an orange-brown center cone. These flowers bloom from late spring through the summer. The flowers are great for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. Great for flower arrangements!

Echinacea purpurea 'Balsomcor' grows to a height of 20 to 24 inches, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. It does best when grown in full sunlight. Hot Coral does best when grown in well drained soils, with adequate amounts of moisture, but is adaptable to a range of conditions. Once established, it exhibits a good deal of drought tolerance. We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
