General Information
Cat's Pajamas Catmint is a perennial plant. It has a overall rounded shape, with a controlled size. Other catmints can grow larger, but at a foot tall and 20 inches wide, this plant is great for a variety of planting areas. The leaves are small and medium green in color. They have a nice aroma. This catmint is different because it produces flowers on the stems from the ground to the tips of the stems. The flowers are indigo-blue in color. They individually are small, but bloom in profusion, covering the plant. The flowers bloom from late spring into the summer. The flower stems are reddish-purple, giving an extra burst of color. Great for attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and a variety of other pollinators. The Cat's Pajamas Catmint was the perennial plant of the year for Proven Winners in 2021.
Additional Information
Nepeta 'Cat's Pajamas' grows to a height of 12 to 14 inches, with a spread of 18 to 20 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 8. It grows best in full sunlight. Cat's Pajamas does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
