Prairie Glow Black Eyed Susan is a perennial plant. It can grow to be a larger perennial, reaching up to 4 feet tall. It will form as a largely upright plant, with flowers held above the foliage. The Prairie Glow Black Eyed Susan will be a nice choice for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves have somewhat rough texture and are dark green in color. They will give the plant a nice appearance through the growing season. The flowers will bloom in abundance from midsummer into the fall. They reddish-orange in color, tipped with yellow at the end of the petal. Deep brown center seed disk is quite attractive to finches and other small birds.

Rudbeckia triloba 'Prairie Glow' will be 3 to 4 feet tall, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 5 to 8. Prairie Glow Black Eyed Susan tends to grow best in full sunlight. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
