General Information
Dark Towers Beardtongue forms a clump of dark, wine-red foliage. In late spring to early summer, tubular, light pink flowers appear in loose, terminal racemes that rise above the foliage. The foliage emerges deep wine purple and keeps its color through the summer heat. The name beardtongue comes from the small tufts of hair on the sterile stamen. Dark Towers Beardtongue is an excellent plant for open woodland plantings. Use in sunny garden borders and rock gardens. Add the flowering stems to cut flower arrangements.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
