Vision in Red Astilbe is a perennial plant. It has a good deal of ornamental appeal, with a nice compact growth habit. This plant is a great choice for a variety of landscaping areas. Vision in Red Astilbe will flower in abundance in the summertime. The fluffy flowers are held on red stems above the foliage. The buds are deep red, with the petals reddish-pink in color. The leaves are deeply cut, with a course texture. They will be darker green in color, with a bronze tint.

Astilbe chinensis 'Vision in Red' will be 12 to 15 inches tall, with a similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Visions in Red Astilbe can do well in shade to sun conditions. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
