Butterscotch Blue Star is a perennial plant. It is a taller perennial, at up to 3 feet tall. This plant will form as a nice mound of foliage, with a largely upright form and great ornamental appeal. Butterscotch Blue Star will work well in a variety of landscaping areas. The foliage is narrow and feathery in appearance. It keeps a deep green color through the spring and summer months. Very nice golden yellow fall color. Abundant clusters of light blue flowers from spring into the summer. These flowers are great for attracting butterflies!
Additional Information
Amsonia hubrichtii 'Butterscotch' will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Butterscotch Blue Star will grow in full to part sun. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
