General Information
Storm Cloud Blue Star is a perennial plant. It is of moderate height, reaching up to 30 inches tall. The plant will typically have an upright and spreading overall form. It is great plant for a variety of different landscaping areas. Storm Cloud Blue Star will have dark, near black stems through the spring. The narrow, densely growing leaves are a very attractive dark green, with silver veining. Large, abundant clusters of flowers from the late spring to early summer months. The small star shaped flowers are a nice light blue color.

Amsonia tabernaemontana 'Storm Cloud' will be 24 to 30 inches tall, with a spread of 38 to 42 inches. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 4 to 9. Storm Cloud Blue Star will do well in full to part sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. This plant is said to have good deer resistant qualities.
