General Information
Bath Loofah Gourds are an interesting addition to your garden. These seeds are an heirloom selection from Renees Gardens. The vines are quite attractive, spreading out with nice deep green foliage. The gourds grow up to 12 inches in length. They have been said to resemble a wrinkled cucumber. Once the rinds are fully matured and dried, the rinds are peeled off to the open, spongy material of the interior. They are great for use as an all natural skin scrubber. To save space, these plants are typically grown on a trellis or some form of support. These seed packets weigh 2.7 grams and contain 25 seeds.
Additional Information
These seeds, depending upon temperatures in your area, are best started indoors. They grow best once temperatures remain above 55 degrees, April to June in most areas. If planted outdoors, plant 1 inch deep, in groups of 2 to 3. Thin to the strongest vine once established. The Bath Loofah Gourds will typically take around 110 days to reach full maturity.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
