General Information
Lauren's Grape Poppy is a great choice for a flower garden. These heirloom seeds are from Renees Garden seed company. The poppies are fast growing and are highly ornamental. These are taller poppies, potentially reaching 3 to 5 feet tall. The foliage provides a nice appearance, growing densely, with wavy leaves and grey-green in color. The poppy flowers bloom in abundance in the spring to summer time. The flowers are quite large, at 4 to 5 inches wide. The flowers are satiny in appearance and are a very attractive deep purple in color. If allowed to go seed, these flowers come back again the following year. Each of the seed packets will weigh .5 grams, containing approximately 1900 seeds.
Additional Information
These seeds can be planted fairly early in the year, January to April in most all areas. They can survive a light frost and tends to grow a bit better in cooler temperatures. The seeds should be planted at a shallow depth, about 1/8th inch. They should germinate in 7 to 14 days.
