General Information

Butterfly Orange Milkweed is a beautiful heirloom perennial plant.  The plants will have attractive dark green foliage, keeping an attractive appearance through the growing seasons.  The flowers grow in abundant clusters in the summertime.  They are a beautiful deep orange in color.  These flowers will bring in a variety of different pollinators, as well as providing a wonderful source of food for monarch butterfly caterpillars.  The Butterfly Orange Milkweed will be a great choice for a variety of different landscaping areas.  Each of the seed packets will contain approximately 45 to 50 seeds.

Additional Information

Asclepias tuberosa will grow to around 18 to 24 inches tall.  It is hardy up to USDA zone 3.  The plant will tend to grow best in full sunlight conditions.  The seeds can be planted directly in the garden or started early indoors.  The plants will tend to do best in well draining soils and average amounts of moisture.  They will typically have good drought tolerance once established.
