General Information
French Culinary Thyme is a great choice for your herb garden. These seeds are from Renees Garden seed company. This herb will form as a dense mound of leaves and flowers, if allowed. The leaves are gray-green in color and are highly aromatic. French Thyme is a common ingredient in most all Mediterranean cooking and is has a wide variety of other cooking uses as well. It also great to dry or freeze for later use. Each seed packet will weigh .25 grams, containing approximately 1000 seeds.
Additional Information
French Thyme can be planted fairly early, as it can tolerate a light frost. Depending upon your area, it can be planted from February to June. Whether it is started indoors or directly seeded, it is best to grow in clusters of 3 to 4 seedling, spaced 8 to 10 inches apart. It will take around 14 to 21 days for the seeds to germinate.
