General Information
Two Color Fiesta Tomatillos are a great choice for your vegetable garden. This heirloom seed mix is an exclusive to Renees Garden seed company. These seeds will produce an abundant crop of tomatillos on attractive plants. They will grow upwards of 4 to 5 feet tall, so caging or staking will be needed. The two varieties of seeds are Toma Verde and Purple Tomatillo. They produce tomatillos that will be somewhat larger than a cherry tomato. They are covered in a thin, papery husk. The Toma Verde is bright green in color and deep purple with green accents for the Purple Tomatillo. Both of these will be sweet and tangy, perfect for salsas, sauces and a variety of other uses. Each seed packet will weigh .2 grams, containing approximately 135 seeds.
Additional Information
These seeds are typically best started indoors, about 6 weeks before temperatures will stay 55 degrees or above outdoors. They can be transplanted outdoors in May to June, in most areas of the country. They should be planted at least 3 feet apart, to allow for full growth. It will be approximately 75 days to harvest from time of transplant.

We treat your plant
like it's ours
- Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.
When your plant
arrives
- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
