Edamame Soy Beans are a great addition to your garden! These are vigorous plants grow 2 feet tall, producing an abundance of bean pods. These plants are adaptable to a variety of growing conditions. The pods are typically 3 to 3.5 inches long, containing 3 to 4 beans. The pods are deep green in color. The beans are very nutritious, with a buttery, nutty taste. They are great fresh or for a variety of cooking uses. The seeds are from Renees Garden. The packets are 12 grams, containing approximately 36 seeds.
Additional Information
The beans are best planted when temperatures reach 55 degrees and over. The seeds should be planted 1 inch deep and 3 inches apart, thinning to 6 inches later. The seeds typically germinate in 7 to 10 days. Beans can be harvested in around 85 days.
