King Midas Carrot is a great choice for your vegetable garden. These seeds are an exclusive offering from Renee's Garden seed company. King Midas is a large carrot, deep orange in color and largely coreless. The carrots are tapered from the top down, reaching 8 to 9 inches at full maturity. The deep orange carrots have a crisp texture and sweet overall taste. They are great for fresh eating or for a variety of cooking uses. Each of the seed packets will contain approximately 500 seeds.
Additional Information
The seeds are best started outdoors, once the danger of hard frosts has passed. They should be planted .25 inches deep, about .5 inches apart. The seeds should eventually be thinned to a spacing of 2 to 3 inches to allow for full growth. The seeds should germinate in about 10 to 21 days. King Midas should come to maturity in approximately 68 to 75 days.

- Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
