General Information

Purple Hyacinth Bean Vine is a great choice for your flower garden.  These heirloom seeds are from Renees Garden seed company.  This vine is very ornamental, with vigorous growth.  Being a vine, this plant does grow best on a trellis or some form of supports.  The foliage grows densely, dark green in color, throughout the growing season.  There abundant clusters of small white to violet colored flowers.  Following the flowers are very ornamental purple bean pods.  Each of the seed packets will weigh 6 grams, containing 19 to 25 seeds.

Additional Information

These seeds can be started indoors or directly seeded outdoors.  They tend to do best when nighttime temperatures remain above 50 degrees, April to June in most areas.  The seeds or plants should be placed 8 inches apart to allow for full growing space.  These plants can reach upwards of 8 to 10 feet tall.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
