General Information
Painted Lady Runner Beans are a nice choice for your flower garden. These heirloom seeds are an exclusive offering from Renees Garden seed company. This is a vigorous grower, reaching upwards of 8 to 10 feet tall. It does best on a trellis or some form of supports. The foliage is quite attractive, densely growing and dark green in color. The small flowers bloom in great abundance, coral to cream in color. After the temperatures moderate, bean pods will form and will produce attractive chocolate colored beans. Each seed packet will weigh 20 grams, containing 18 to 22 seeds.
Additional Information
The seeds can be planted once temperatures remain above 50 degrees at night. Seeds should be planted about one inch deep, spaced 3 to 4 inches. They should be thinned to 6 to 8 inches once established. The seeds will germinate in 7 to 10 days.
