General Information

Emerald Pink Creeping Phlox is a wonderful plant that fits well in a variety of landscapes.  It is a very versatile plant that is tolerant of many soil conditions.  This plant produces a very low growing mound of foliage, forming a thick mat of leaves.  The foliage is comprised of very small, needle like green leaves.  In the spring, the plant is covered in very small 5 petaled light pink flowers.  The profusion of blooms can continue into the early summer.

Additional Information

Phlox subulata 'Emerald Pink'  grows to a height of 4 to 6 inches, with a spread of 12 to 18 inches.  It is recommended for climate zones 3 to 9.  It grows best in full sunlight.  Once Emerald Pink has become well established, it has drought tolerant qualities.  In times of high heat, it does like to be watered.  It does well in a variety of soils, and can even grow well in rocky or other difficult soil conditions.  It can be divided every 3 to 4 years.  Butterflies are attracted to the flowers, and it has some deer resistant qualities.

We treat your plant

like it's ours

  • Before your plant leaves our greenhouse, it’s wrapped and supported to handle the journey ahead. Pots are sealed to prevent spills, plants are gently netted and staked for stability, and boxes are packed with biodegradable peanuts to absorb movement along the way. Thoughtful packaging helps your plant arrive happy, healthy, and ready to grow.

When your plant
arrives

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
