Blood Brothers Switchgrass is a perennial grass. It is a switchgrass of medium size, reaching up to 4 feet tall. It will have an upright growth habit, with a broadly vase shaped form. It is a great choice for a variety of sunny areas in your landscape. The leaves the Blood Brother Switchgrass will emerge blue green in color. In the summer months, it will take on beautiful wine-purple tones. Red colored seedheads later summer, turning tan in the fall. Sturdy enough to be left standing to provide winter interest.

Panicum virgatum 'Blood Brothers' will be 3 to 4 feet tall, with a width of 28 to 32 inches. It is recommended for USDA planting zones 4 to 9. Blood Brothers Switchgrass will grow well in full sunlight conditions. It does well with average amount of moisture in a variety of soil conditions. Drought tolerant once established.
