General Information
All Gold Japanese Forest Grass has a good deal of ornamental appeal. It typically grows in an upright and arching overall form. This grass will be moderate in size, at 14 inches tall, with a slightly spreading nature. The long, narrow leaves will provide a great pop of color to shady areas. The leaves will be greenish-yellow in heavily shaded areas and golden yellow in part shade areas. Small, reddish to brown seed heads in the late summer.

Hakonechloa macra 'All Gold' will be 9 to 14 inches tall, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 5 to 9. All Gold Japanese Forest Grass will grow well in full to partial shade conditions. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils.
