Blue Dune Lyme Grass is an ornamental grass plant. It will be smaller in size, reaching to 3 feet tall. It will tend to have a nice upright growth habit. This plant does have the tendency to spread a good bit. Blue Dune Lyme Grass would be a great choice for naturalized areas, erosion prone spots, or even large containers. The narrow, upright grass blades are a very striking blue-green color in the growing months. It will turn tan in the fall. Blue Dune Lyme Grass will have tan seed heads, emerging in late May.

Leymus arenarius 'Blue Dune' will be 2 to 3 feet tall, with a generally similar spread. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 4 to 9. Blue Dune Lyme Grass can grow in full to partial sunlight. It will do well with average amounts of moisture in a variety of soil conditions.
