General Information
Chameleon Little Bluestem is a perennial grass. It has a dense, upright overall growth habit. This Little Bluestem will emerge with green and white variegated foliage in the spring. It will develop very attractive pink, red and purple shades in the summertime. Chameleon Little Bluestem will have burgundy color flowers in open, airy clusters from later summer into fall. Though all the colors will fade to tan, the grass will provide nice winter interest if left standing. The Chameleon Little Bluestem will be a nice choice for your landscape!

Schizachyrium scoparium 'Chameleon' will be 20 to 24 inches tall, with a width of 16 to 20 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Chameleon Little Bluestem will grow best in full sunlight conditions. It will do well with average or lesser amounts of moisture in well drained soils. Once established, it will have good drought tolerance.
