General Information
Twilight Zone Little Bluestem is an ornamental grass plant. It is of moderate size, growing to 4 feet tall. It tends to grow in a dense, upright growing overall fashion. The size and ornamental appeal make it ideal for a variety of landscaping areas. The leaves are narrow and largely upright in form, arching slightly towards the ends. The leaves emerge deep green in color, before taking on shades of silver to purple in the summertime. They turn very attractive purple and burgundy colors in the fall. Tan colored seed heads in the fall.

Schizachyrium scoparium 'Twilight Zone' reaches a height of 3 to 4 feet, with a spread of 18 to 24 inches. It is recommended for USDA climate zones 3 to 9. Twilight Zone tends to do best when planted in full sunlight. It does well with average amounts of moisture in well drained soils. It is adaptable to a variety of conditions.
