Purple Top Milan Heirloom Turnips are a great choice for your vegetable garden. These heirloom, organic seeds are from Renee's Garden seed company. They are a fast maturing, productive variety of turnip. The Purple Top Milan Turnips have edible, deep green foliage, great when steamed! The turnips are globe shaped, purple at the top, white at the bottom. They have a nice, mild flavor, great baked, sautéed or in a variety of other preparations.
Additional Information
These seeds can be started in the garden earlier in the springtime. Plant the seeds half an inch deep, 1 to 2 inches apart in rows. Thin seedlings to 4 to 6 inches to allow for full growth potential. Seeds should germinate in 7 to 9 days. Harvest can occur in approximately 45 days.
