Moon & Stars Watermelon is a delightful choice for your garden. These organic, heirloom seeds are from Renees Garden seed company. These are vigorously growing vines that will produce a great harvest of melons. These watermelons can be quite large in size, with some up to 40 pounds, but most smaller than that. They are round to oval in shape. The rind, when mature, is dark green in color, with small gold spots and larger gold circles. The flesh is sweet and delicious, pinkish-red in color. The melon are said to keep well when refrigerated. Each seed packet will weigh 3.5 grams, containing approximately 31 seeds.

Moon & Stars Watermelons should be started outdoors, once temperatures remain above 50 degrees. Plant in hills that 2 feet across, with hills 5 feet apart. Plant 5 to 6 seeds in a hill, thinning to the 3 strongest vines. These seeds will germinate in about 7 to 10 days. It will be approximately 95 to 100 days to harvest.
