General Information

Culinary Heirloom Chives are a great addition to your herb garden. They do quite well in a container as well. These heirloom, organic seeds are from Renee's Garden seed company. The chive plants will have a mounded overall form as they mature. They leaves are longer and narrow, with a nice deep green color. They will also have very attractive lavender-pink flower clusters. The Culinary Heirloom Chives will have a mild, onion-y flavor. Perfect for seasoning a variety of dishes. Each of the seed packets will contain approximately 1362 seeds.

Additional Information

The seeds can be planted in the early springtime. They are typically planted in clusters of 7 to 10 seeds, spaced 8 to 10 inches apart. The seeds will germinate in 14 to 21 days. Harvest or cut back after blooms have faded for chance of additional harvests.

  • Plants may show signs of stress after shipping, such as bent stems or drooping leaves. This is normal. Prompt unpacking, proper watering, and a short recovery period in the shade help plants rebound quickly. Avoid heavy pruning and give your plant time to adjust as it establishes in your landscape.
